Wow.... What a cool week!! The I.T. Geeks and the TSTC Marshall team spent this week training the Marshall employees on the new email system. It was wonderful to finally be able to put faces with the names. We had great fun and made some really cool friends. Check out the pictures!

I know that I do lately. Every day I get another spam email message from some unknown person. Seriously, I wish they would just leave me alone. I don't want to inherit millions of dollars. No, I didn't do a wire transfer to the IRS and TSTC IT never has to ask for my password to login.
Did you know that there are actually people known as "Spam Kings"? Yeap, they make a living fishing (phishing) for our information. People all over the world provide them with money, passwords and personal information. Living in this new digital world can be a test of your strength and critical thinking skills. Most of us could have never dreamed about having to deal with these types of issues when we were young. I sure didn't when I was sitting in my BASIC class programming the dot to bounce around. Well, never fear.... If you have a concern or just suspicious of an email....Don't open it, Call us!! We have been there and will be able to help you navigate these new waters. Don't be caught by the Spam Kings next fishing (phishing) net. TSTC IT Geeks TSTC has geeks all over the state at all campuses. As I walked around the Waco campus and met new people, I discovered so many different geeky projects all around campus. I started this website and blog to share my findings with you. I walked on the campus about a month ago. I was warmly greeted and the first geeky thing that I was shown was a video media wall. IT WAS SO COOL!!! It was a fully functioning video wall just like you see on big news channels such as CNN or MSNBC. This was a project in Walt Yantis' HPC lab. Walt and the students used a bunch of 19" flat screen monitors in a grid format and was able to connect them to a local computer system. WHAT A COOL INNOVATIVE IDEA!! Talk about recycling......
